    Hi folks..
Just about to buy this 4 bike carrier from Halfords and wondering if anyone on here has one and how do you find it..
Currently using a boot mounted carrier on the jeep but lifting the bikes up is less and less possible through injury so that rules out a roof mounted system too.

    cheers..

I have that one, works well. Not "light" but is on and off in a few minutes and is solid as a rock. I have yet to put 4 full sized bikes on it but I don't expect it to be a problem. Watch the straps as they need to be tied if they are not in use.... They hold on the plastic wheel holders... I actually went and bolted them with light bolts.

    Thanks.
Might go ahead as lifting bikes is beyond me now.

We picked up 4 bike carrier & had tow bar fitted from Malcolms in Rathmines just a couple of weeks ago. Road tested at the weekend with four adult road bikes to Ring of Beara & back from Dublin. Big thumbs up.

We chose the Witter ZX304. It's a little more than the Halfords model. I think about 350 euros.

Bikes were very secure & the arm locks are a smart way to keep bikes apart & from rocking. I've seen some other towbar racks which involve a lot straps to keep everything in place. The Halfords design looks like it would need straps.

The rack also tilts down allowing access to the boot with bikes on the rack. Very handy.
