Long shot but does anyone have any recent experience living and or working in Luxembourg?

Recent - no. Lived there quite a few years ago.

Absolutely gorgeous city though certainly not the liveliest place in their world as far as night life goes.

yea, know a heap of people there.
Its like living in Castlebar or Enniskillen, only maybe less lively. The "city" itsself is tiny and it seems everyone lives in the sprawl on the edges (so as I say, like an irish country town really).

Wages though seem to be good, taxes low, cost of living high and accessibility is a bit crap at the moment if you dont want to pay Luxairs high fares, but Ryanair is moving there soon and "Frankfurt" Hahn airport is only down the road anyhow and is nearer Luxembourg than Frankfurt.

Theres a bit of an irish community there with soccer and GAA clubs so you'll find your feet quick enough I'd think
