Any recommendations? Got the car regassed in October and it is gone again. Got it done in May last year and it was gone by September. I think that I have a leak and need to get it sorted. Thanks!

Did it work perfectly and then gradually stop over time or just stop straight away?

Before they regassed they should have pressure tested the system. Do you know if this was done?

It gradually stopped. I tend to use that car for short journeys, so the aircon might only have been used a few times a week for a few minutes.

The last time that it was regassed was during a full service at a main dealer. They said that it was tested, but I am not entirely sure that it was (heard that they were not entirely honest at times).

You definitely have a leak that needs sorting, at this point you are just wasting money getting it refilled regularly.

A regas every few month is not normal, a perfectly functioning system will not need any regassing on a regular basis, the entire regassing industry seems to be based on not fixing faulty A/C systtems. I recently got my hands on a car that a family member had put off the road late last year, 17 years old and never so much as a filter changed on the A/C in all that time, 30 seconds after starting her up it was pumping out freezing cold air.

It's possible they pressure tested it but only for a couple minutes.
The test should be over an hour at least.

Ref my previous post, bought parts online from Vauxhall England, including delivery ,exchange etc,and fitting here, cist under 300 punts, was quoted in Opel dealer here, and a garage in Douglas woolen mills,up to 1300 punts,so pays to investigate, and source parts oneself,p.s. called Opel garage, personally called to the garage in Douglas, with receipts etc for work done, and didn't get any satisfaction,,, rip off republic
