Twice I have noticed the same cow provide no milk at milking. Is it lepto or something else?

She knows there's an over supply of milk and she is making a stand. Now if only she could get the other 20 million of her comrades to do the same.

Had a heifer dry herself off, and then shed condition like anything, turned out to be a bad dose of fluke.

Obviously not a milking cow then:o

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Is it that she has no milk to give or is it just that she doesn't let it down?

If she has a bag of milk and is not dropping it a shot of oxytocin may help but not a longterm job. Is she eating her meal?

Is it two milkings in a row or twice in a week?

Has she milk to let down or is her udder empty?

    Is she on heat?

I have a cow that gets a fit of not milking if she finds herself too far back in the row but gives it all at the next milking. There could be a lot of simple reasons for her now milking, a bit more info might help.

I have a similar case. A 3rd lactation cow just came in with no milk, having being doing 25 litres. In fact she looked like a dry cow. Vet checked her out. Could not find anything wrong. She has started to come back to milking a bit after 10 days. I thought that there might be a cow suckling her but there is no sign of it.
