    Hi everyone.
I opened an Etsy shop recently and a customer wanted to buy several items. I was so excited that in my haste I calculated the postage wrong for the items.
The customer has paid for the items now so I don't want to go back and tell them.

I charged them €10.00 for postage for a small parcel to UK, but getting there by Thursday.
I was going to use Express Delivery with An Post but I read the wrong zone, thinking it would be €9.00 for next day delivery to UK - this was the price for within Ireland.

Anyway can anyone recommend a good courier that will get the parcel there by Thursday and won't cost me too much more than what I charged?

I was looking at SnapParcel - they seem reasonable but they don't specify how long it will take.

    Thank you

An post use airmail for all outgoing parcels, packets and letters.

Post Tuesday and it should be delivered UK Thursday or Friday.

If you post regularly you can get a card that gives you 20% off most post charges

    First line states -
"If you send 5 or more packets or parcels a week you can get 20% off the cost."

I think you are reading something totally different.

It is aimed to those who want an express service.

Sorry never saw this. I used An Post - the counter assistant recommended I send by regular post rather than express - she said regular post would get there in 2 days whereas express guarantees 3.
Should never have listened to her. Parcel never arrived in time. When customer received item, she returned them losing me a fairly big order :(

Usually very happy with An Post.

Its Royal mail that provide the delivery service in UK and "standard" service should take 2 working days, but Royal Mail can be dreadfully ineffecient.

But in any case, any customer that returns an item that is a day late is a messer and my own history in dealing with UK customers is that a large number of them can not be trusted to be truthful.

We ship to many European countries - the UK is the only country we photograph and weigh every box we dispatch. Its amazing how many suddenly find a product that they claimed was not there when photo of the items in the box is produced.

    Lucky escape imo
