I have Audi A6, in the last few days when braking there is a loud squeaking noise from the front wheel.

Nothing coming from the other wheels. Just wondering what it might be?

Probably the brake pads needing replacing.
Go to a local mechanic and ask them to have a look and give you a quote.

If the issue is the pads worn down it depends on how far the pads have worn, if they have worn down to the metal and have caused damage to the discs you will need to replace the pads and the discs. Parts would likely be €150-€200 for genuine Audi pads and discs for front, then maybe €100 to fix. Front pads alone would be about €50 for parts, it could be possible that your rears may need doing too.

If the pads are currently down to the bare metal driving it will result in damage to the brake discs.

Timing belt kit, which presumably included labour as it's listed under fixed price, isn't too bad considering Renault have an 'offer' of €550 for the 1.5 DCi engines.

Sorry I found the Audi fixed pricing after I posted but strange that Audi North and another Audi dealer have different price for timing belt. Audi North want additional €100 for water pump and other dealer include it in the €489 price. Have asked Audi North to confirm.
