    Spoke pattern is different

    However both have the same list price so one's basically on a larger discount, but arguably their underlying "value" is similar

    All I can see is that one has a red hub and the other has a black hub.

    I can't see difference myself and I checked the official Mavic site but i'm no wiser. Thinking of purchasing, thanks for help.

    18 spokes on the cheaper one, 20 on the other. Completely different hub, not just different colour.

    same by my reading... 18f 20r.

    Obviously, this pair of wheels, having the correct colour hubs, is far superior to the other set.

    Cyclists are colour conscious and slow to go for bright colours. I've often seen retailers discount unpopular colours heavily to clear stock.

    Red is 2015 model and black are 2016 model....

    Thanks for the help, looked into it more, both are 2016 model and identical except the coloured hubs. Going to buy a new set and as I'm colour blind the black with do me just fine :)
