    Hi all,

I have an 03 Peugeot 206, would love to be able to play my ipod in it. What's the best way to get an aux input installed? Is there somewhere I could get one installed, or how does one go about it?

If the RD4 head unit common across Peugeot's and Citroens of the era, you need to get an appropriate cable to plug into the back of the head unit and also enable the port using diagnostic equipment

What stereo exactly is in it ? The easiest way is to buy a stereo ( 100 upwards) that's compatable with the device you want to connect via usb or just buy any aftermarket stereo with an aux in plug.
Some oem stereos have a multi cd exchanger plug that you can get an adapter loom to give you an aux input via the cd changer plug , more hassle than its worth unless you have an excellent oem stereo.

Presumably you dont have a car kit in it? If you're going to spend money , may as well kill two birds and do it with a decent car kit.

Can you post a picture of the radio in your car, or tell us if there's any writing on the front of it like a model number

I would agree. A decent parrot or whatever will give you all your tunes via Bluetooth through the speaker with the added bonus of handsfree.

The Parotts do look like a good option, I think I may go with one of them. Thanks.

So, you see the 3 buttons on the left, the waves one does the radio, the one to the right of it does your cd, and the third one to the right of that is to work a cd changer, which you don't have,
Far as I know, you get a cable that plugs into a blue plug socket in the back of the radio where that cd changer would normally go. The other end goes into your MP3 player.

I think your radio is called an RD3 and its plug and play.

    Open to correction of course,

Something like this. YouTube will show you how to remove the stereo and probably how to install the cable too. You can get the stereo removal tools for a few euro on amazon too.

I got this cable for my 407, obviously you need a different one for the 206 but installing it was simple.

I needed to get the AUX in enabled by someone with PP2000 and when playing music the MP3 player and radio volumes need to be up very high to hear the music. Maybe the box in the one posted previously gets around this but on a straight cable it's something to consider.

Far as I know, the rd3 radio doesn't need any coding to enable the port.

No it's pretty good once I don't touch it. If I knock off it it fuzzes a bit.
