Driving home from work today I noticed my diesel tank was showing empty. Filled it last night so thought nothing of it. Halfway home it started hegging and engine malfunction flashed up on the dash. Had her towed to the garage I was told by the company I bought the car from. (Still under warranty ). They told me it was fuel sensor error, it will have to be replaced. It started hegging b cos it reduced injectors b cos it thought it was empty.

I have the nct tonight and my fuel tank is reading empty. Can I put it through like that. Have driven it 50km since they looked at it.

If check engine light is on,the won't perform smoke/emissions test on a diesel so it's an automatic fail.
Engine light isn't on. Even the engine malfunction on the screen wasn't there after it was towed in. When they hooked it up it said an issue with fuel sensor. Only light on is the refuel light at present.

    I'd chance it.
i'd also put money on Ireland to win the euros.

Will you have to pay a fee for pulling out last minute anyway?

At least with a retest, they only test for the specific issues you failed on.

You will pay 20 or 25 for no show or late cancellation. Get a 5 quid ELM327 Bluetooth dongle, even if it cannot read codes it can clear them.

I don't have any codes. It's just thenter refuel light is on and the fuel gauge reads empty
