I've a flight booked in a few weeks from Orly-Lourdes. I've been told that the strike they're planning that day is similar to today's so I'm trying to see what the effect on my flight is likely to be.

It's flight HOP711 (a codeshare with AirFrance), which is still appearing as Scheduled on any boards I can see online. Is there any way of finding out where it is or what the latest is?

Short of having a crystal ball or calling up mystic meg ? No there isnt. The impact on French air travel on this occasion has been minimal. If there will be an ATC strike or some such on the date you are travelling your airline might still show the flight as scheduled up to a day or so before the departure in anticipation of any resolution. Either way you are best off keeping in contact with your airline and keeping informed of events in the news. Don't know why you would think a load of randomers on an aviation forum can see into the future of French industrial relations but anyway...

I was looking for information on today's HOP711. Per the link I posted above, the flight update still says "scheduled".

Seemed fairly logical in my head that "a load of ransomers on an aviation forum" might know if there was some other way of getting information about today's flight out of Orly

Hi the flight did operate today but was delayed, eventually landed at Tarbes at 1057 our time....hope that helps!
With a bit of luck the industrial action might even be suspended when your hoping to travel!

why do you think that people on this forum can advise any more then what would be common sense in this situation ? ie. as I have suggested.. contact your airline... have you looked on their social media sites ? their website ? tried to contact them using any of their suggested methods at all ? I suggest 'again' that you do this as this should be the most reliable way of answering the query...
