I watched this tonight about the couple that wanted to save for their childrens college fees. They cut the weekly food from 220 to 150 and did the complete weekly shopping in super value no less  If they had went to ALDI they could have saved at least another €50. Over all a very poor program, surely they should have shown their net income and where exactly the money was going and how the savings were made.

I like it because I get to shout at the tv. I couldn't get over the fact that they spend €100 on trips to a shopping centre every Sunday. I'm surprised that there wasn't a show like this on during the depths of the recession. It doesn't go into much detail but I'm sure plenty of people will pick up some tips from it.

Money was a bit of novelty to them, get it with one hand and get rid of it with the other.
