So I created my first ebay account last week. I had an item (graphics card) I want to sell. When I put in on for sale they restricted my account and took down the listing.

I also had the listing on adverts and it sold on there. Ebay wanted me to verify my account so send copy of passport and a bill. But they now said they won't unrestrict it unless I send them a receipt and a photo with me with the item I sold on adverts.

Why are they like this? They also aren't very friendly so I'm thinking of just leaving it.
