    Hi

Got my mother a new 32 inch TV

It says on the box "watch 60 freeview channels (showing a Union Jack symbol beside "

It asks says "watch Saorview channels (showing an Irish flag beside"

Now... My mother had sky and let it lapse a year ago. She still gets some Sky channels thru her box including BBC and ITVs

So... What do I need to do to get her up and running...?...

    1. Will plugging the TV to the old sky book get the same as the 60 freeview as stated above?

    2. I guess I need a Saorview Aeirpel for tge Irish Saorview???

    Many thanks

Freeview and Satellite are two different formats .Freeview is when you get your uk channels through a aerial. That if you live on the east coast ,eg wicklow ,arklow .Satellite is the sky box that you have ,just plug the satellite box into the tv and ue if as before with the old tv

Yes you will need an aerial to get Saorview terrestrial channels ....... but they are available from Sky also only if you pay a subscription to Sky.

It would be helpful if you mentioned what TV channels your mother expects to have available to her.
