I want to get someone a present of a silver miraculous medal that's engraved with a deceased friend's name and was wonder does anyone know where I could source one or if they are even available

Those medals are small and have an inscription on them already. There simply wouldn't be any room for more lettering.

Unless there is somewhere you could get a customised medal?...

You can get a larger medal maybe online, but there isn't much room to engrave on it.

I found this Irish company who sell miraculous medals. Perhaps you could contact them about engraving

Miraculous Medals, by their design, have writing on both sides so wouldn't be great for engraving. Another type of medal might be better. Some jewelers have religious medals, especially at this time of year

Went with precious prayers, couldn't recommend them enough, great customer service and so helpful. Got miraculous medal with back image taken off and engraved with a name and date on a long chain for 65. Not the cheapest but exactly what I was looking for and handmade!
