Application and Twitter

Hi all. I applied for an internship with a media compay during the week, that I'd be looking to start when I finish up in June. I missed one of the application requests, but when I realised I sent it in well before closing date.

However, on the day I applied one of their junior writers followed both of my Twitter accounts (I have a personal one, and one I use for my blog) within about half an hour of me sending in. I'll put it this way- she wouldn't have been senior enough to see the application herself and follow me from there-.

It doesn't seem like this is a coincidence, but is it something I should take as a good sign?

    I think you're reaching a bit, tbh.

Turned out they were doing a pretty thorough sift through my social media, found something disagreeable and took back the offer for interview. Always trust women's intuition.

Obviously she was. Never be surprised by just how many people may see your application.
