Fry Railway works at Casino, Malahide

    Good to see progress:-


    4th May 2016: Fingal County Council, requires Civil & Structural Engineering services for significant refurbishment and new extension works at the Casino Building in Malahide in North County Dublin. The building in a high profile location will become home to the Fry model railway exhibition. The building is a protected structure and is of regional heritage significance.

    Quite how this building can be adapted to house the enormous Fry layout without destroying its heritage value is beyond me, but I'm not a planner or an architect. Wrong building, wrong location.

    I would agree, pretty bizarre to shoehorn it into a building like this.
    Only in Ireland.
