Looking at this car at present and have been onto the add owner regarding.

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/bmw-730d-m-sport-mint/12332349

It looks extremely clean and is packed with toys:)

The person selling the car has mentioned he is a dealer (which is OK) and I have checked the car in below link which states it has not been taxed since Feb which could also be fine if it's in a dealers yard.

    https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/

I asked the dealer to send me on MOT certs verifying mileage throughout the years which he said he would and I also asked could I be sent a link to his dealership or could I be given the name of his dealership.

I have not heard any more from the dealer after the last requests.

Would anyone have any information/concerns regarding this add, as I do really like the car?

Looks tidy but tread carefully. Spec. isn't the most important thing - overall condition is. Service history would want to be complete and verifiable independently.

p.s. I've no inkling is there any value in that car but remember it's 10 years old.

No havent done a check on the car yet as found it strange the dealer has not replied after I asked for a link or the name of his dealership.

If its all legit, this shouldn't be and issue right?

@ Henry Ford III: Would be fairly vigilant in checking a cars condition once I was face to face with it and agree re service history comment.
Understand it's 10 years old and the issues with this, but it is what I am looking for.

You would imagine he would send the mot certs on to start with. Might be as well to forget about it or else do a history check yourself to see what it throws up. Seems strange someome would spend £800 servicing and then sell it but on a car like that 4 tyres and a basic service could come to that.

SNZ 2203 has previously been wearing:

    VK56 EHG (15/01/09)
    L333 JOE (22/10/12)
    SNZ 2203 (23/07/13)
    L333 JOE (17/03/15)

No reason for concern showing on the report I can access (basic details) - not reported as written off or stolen. No mileage readings showing on my report.

Has been history checked by the motor trade quite a few times since March this year, and once by an insurer yesterday.

    Looks like a nice motor!

You can check previous MOT's online with the Reg plate.

Looks like a beautiful car and should last forever with that bullet proof engine. Are you going to import it or are you up the north? Whats the VRT?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,057 ✭✭✭irish bloke

Looking to bring it down, VRT is coming it at approx €2700 and with the exchange rate currently I'm looking at circa €12.5k.

I know it's a lot for a 10 year old car but they were over 100k new. Not one for reg plate, just love a great motor.

Won't work with NI or UK personal plates though.

It's done no miles with a full service history, it should still drive like a 100k car..

Best of luck if you buy it!
