Cycling with bruised ribs

Anyone any experience cycling with bruised/fractured ribs?

I bruised a rib in work on Monday (I work in an office so it was in a rather silly way) and the pain is worse now than it was on Monday. It's sore when I laugh or use the left side of my body e.g sweeping. I think its worse now as I tend to sleep on my left side.

Anyway cycling into work has been fine although I started to feel it this morning on some of the rougher sections.

I'm planning on doing the Mt Leinster challenge this Saturday (140k) and I'd rather not miss it.

Just wondering if anyone had any experience cycling with brusied ribs, how they got on and if a long cycle made it worse. I wont do it if it'll set me back weeks or months. I'd sooner lay up for a few weeks instead, as hard as that will be to do :-(
