    Hi,

Anybody able to tell me where to get Dark Wheat beer like Erdinger, Franziskaner or Paulaner Dunkel, preferably south or west of Dublin?

Some years ago it was available almost every where and Dunnes used to stock it until a few month ago but now it seams to be gone completely. :(

I seriously miss this almost black stuff and would like to get some for the weekend.

    Cheers

Drinkstore in Stoneybatter have the very good Weihenstephaner Dunkel if you're stuck. They do deliveries as well.

    Thanks Goat,

But it's a bit far or a few bottles only and I don't think its worth the delivery costs, but I will check it out if nothing else comes up.

    Cheers

Molloys or O'Briens will have a few Dunkles in stock always.

    Hi RasTa,

I have checked already a few O'Briens but no luck so far. They used to have it but I got told the demand was to low to stock it.

I will check Molloys though. Perhaps I am lucky.

    Thanks

PS: Just opened an Erdinger (not dark).

    Cheers!

Dunkel fans visiting Galway should check out Galway Brewing Co's Kompass. It took a long time for these guys to have something to write about, but they have a few above average offerings making them worth a look.

Kompass is one of their best. At 8% its high given the style yet suspiciously you won't taste the alcohol... just a nice balance between malty and sweet.

Molloys in Clondalkin was well stocked with my favorite "Erdinger Dunkel". :P

In general they have a very impressive selection. Will certainly visit them again.

    The weekend was saved. Prost.

    Thanks to all.
