    Lads,

I need to get a spare key for my B6 VW Passat, current main key is acting up a bit on the door unlocking side. The main dealers are asking for about 250 for the key inc coding. I have however found these guys: http://www.carkeydublin.com who advertise on adverts.ie and will do the job including a replacement "non OEM" key that looks the exact same and functions as such.

Anyone have any experience with these lads or these non OEM keys?

I have the original 2 keys for the car but one was never used and will only open the doors now as it seems to have gone out of sync with the cars coding, the spare I buy will be just that, a spare. Im hoping to use the current spare as the main key from then on, thats if they can resync it with the car :)

If I was going to keep the car for 2 more years I would go OEM, if not I'd go with non.
