Child Benefit if child living here/I'm in EU

    Was tempted to also throw this into Legal Discussions forum.

    Hypothetical situation.

    I live in UK/Germany/Portugal etc. & am working there.

    My child lives here (Ireland but for arguments sake say any other EU Country either).

    Can I claim CB in the country I live & work in for him/her?

    I know in this country you can; trying to find out if it's a European wide directive?

    Yes it's a EU wide directive and part of the pro-Brexit argument
