I know Area 14 was used for a short time for Aer Lingus check-in, but what's it used for these days, if at all?

I passed by the escalators today and all the lighting is on down there - I'd love a look!

Its a contingency area only, fully kitted out & ready to roll if its ever needed but not used for day to day ops.

If you go onto Google Maps, all areas of the airport are now on Streetview.

Put the pin on T1 and when you bring up the image you can select what floor level of the terminal you want to view. Select -1 for area 14.

It's basically still the same as it was when open.

I thought they closed off the doors as the toilets are now at area 13
