    Hi all,

Bought a 2002 Yaris Recentyl. Came with a Sony Radio. CD and Aux ports on it.

Work perfectly but I'm looking to buy one with a USB port.

Can I buy another Sony Radio with USB and swap the front parts of the radio without disconnecting wires or will I have to pull the whole thing out?

The one I have has the below connection

No would need to change the whole thing but it's relatively easy to do, the existing one should just slide out.

Yep. The Yaris is dead easy to work with anyway. Pull the 2 heater adjustment knobs (the left and right and leave the center there) and it will uncover 2 bolts, take those out and the radio screen / heater unit will come out. Then you've 2 bolts for the headunit fascia and the whole thing comes out.

You'll have to change the whole radio. It's very easy though. Your new radio will come with two metal pieces that will slide in each side of your old radio which will then allow you to pull it straight out.

As your car has already got an aftermarket radio fittec you won't have to buy any additional wiring.
