Friday the 13th, lucky or unlucky?

For some they dread it but for me I've always found it lucky. I got to choose my phone number years ago with O2 and the last 4 digits are 1313... Two good things happened to me..

This morning I took my car to the garage to get the handbrake tightened, he found a few small things wrong that could've turned into major things, one was a loose bracket on the exhaust that was at breaking point, he welded it back on, tightened the handbrake, fixed the calliper that was getting stuck on the brake (that would cause serious wear on the pads that are only about 8 months old) and refilled the brake fluid for the grand total of E20.

The second good thing was picking up my 17 year old from school early, I had to sign her out. The receptionist, I hadn't seen her before opened the glass hatch door and said ' Are you her sister?' Cue imaginary hula dancing as I pointed out I am in fact ...her mother ... This one looked like giving a compliment would turn her to stone...

So what good or bad things have happened to you on Friday the 13th
Or do you think it's a load of sh!te ?

I tend to agree... Just wanted to tell the world I was mistaken for a 20 year old instead of my actual age. :D

Why are people so afeared of 13 in general... ?

Oh you know, the usual - 13 people at the Last Supper, the torture and execution of the Knights Templar by Philip IV of France on Friday 13th October 1307, the Holy Monks of the Calendar swearing during years with 13 full moons in, and it's harking back to the ancient Lunar Cult, with it's 13-phase calendar based on the human female menstrual cycle.

No such thing as luck. Any arbitrary number is meaningless, aside from the meaning people attach to it for entirely baseless reasons.

......and wait for your exhaust to fall off next week. Pay peanuts. Get monkeys. Either that or you live in the Ukraine.

    It's unlucky to be superstitious.
