Career prospects for recruitment consultants

    Hi there
I am curious to know what the current market is like for recruitment consultants as I am considering a career move into this sector following time spent abroad. No experience in this area however but my personality is one that would suit.
I do recall during the boom it been an area that offered high earning potential but obviously suffered badly in the recession.
Would love to hear how things are now and what the projection is for the industry, especially since we're now the 'fastest' growing economy in Europe.
Furthermore I am in the Southeast of the country so would be curious as to this area in particular and how it compares to Dublin and cork in terms of salary etc.
    Any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks
