Only house not connected to the fiber...

    Hi,

When I tried to subscribe with different Broadband providers for the fiber, I always got the same answer: you are not eligible.

The eircom efibre VDSL cabinet has already been installed for a while and is roughly 50 meters from the house.

I don’t know if its related but the neighbour of the landlady asked to UPC maybe 10 years ago ( it was NTL at this time..) to remove the TV cables for both houses as he couldn’t get a proper reception for the tv.

How can my house be connected to the Fiber?

All the area is connected, only the place where I’m is not

Can I contact Eir and asked them to run a cable from the cabinet to the house?

Thank you for your help and have a lovely evening!

Have you got an active phone line?

    I do .

When I contacted UPC months ago, they said I could get the TV with them but not the broadband.

I did a Businees line checker with the landline phone number and I go the follwoing result:

Not sure if you're confusing tech here.

Virgin (formerly UPC) use CoAx to deliver "Cable" broadband. Nothing to do with OpenEir. If a neighbour told them to take a hike you may be slow getting them to come back, historically any objectors and they've walked away (*curses the pr1ck next door*).

You are VDSL capable though, the prequal shows it and having an active line means its an actual value, not a guesstimate from your location.

If you cannot order from anyone (Eir, Sky, Vodafone, Magnet etc etc) then I'd put money on the cab being full. That means they provided for 124 lines and you're the 125 order (or half that). If there are a lot of lines left they can expand capacity but if its just you you would need to wait until a neighbour moves out then quickly get your order in.

Thank you so much for these information.

I think I don't have any other choice than the Adsl then...

Thanks again, I really do appreciate.
