Part 2 of KS' Great White North trilogy, after Tusk.

It basically looks like an excuse for Kevin Smith and Johnny Depp, and their respective daughters, to have boatloads of fun together on set. Worse movies have been made for better reasons ...

The name Kevin Smith will still get a reasonable sized audience to see it, coupled with how much he promotes his stuff by doing tours with the films etc.

But seriously, he needs to stop smoking so much weed. Red State was alright, but now he's just going mad and doing silly sh*t for the sake of it. It's all well and good if he's enjoying himself etc, but I used to be a huge KS fan and I don't even know if I'd watch this for free never mind pay for it.

His downfall was Clerks 2. No, before that Jersey Girl *shudders*

Been churning out crap after that.

This looks absolutely terrible, and I have a feeling I'll love it :D Red State & Tusk were brilliant I thought, and this does look a lot more slapstick than the those two, but have to admire his 'don't give a ****' attitude he's taken. Clearly just making whatever he wants at this stage. Moose Jaws being the final part of this trilogy. Which as you guessed it, is Jaws with a moose :pac:

He needs to go back to making movies like Mallrats and Dogma. That is hands down the worst trailer I've ever seen.

The same guys who are funding Mallbrats and Clerks III.

The cast seemed to enjoy themselves, anyway, despite there being "no money and no future" in a Kevin Smith film (his words):

Contains a mild spoiler and a short discussion of the Freudian implications of Kevin and Johnny's teenage daughters fighting off sausages ...

That trailer is really unclear what sort of film it's selling.

    Surely his downfall was CopOut.

Yeah but unlike the rest of his work, he didn't write it. Plus there were huge issues with Bruce Willis on that flick. I tend not to hold it against him.

Pretty much everything since that, I hold against him.

    not legit apparently.

or at least not the trailer smiths been working on for the US market, hence all the weird subtitles. theres a podcast on his youtube page where he discusses it and he's not happy that its out there and is working to get a proper one done as soon as possible. seems the foreign market distributor took the decision upon themselves to release this one.

havent seen a smith film for ages, but i do enjoy his review stuff (the fatman on batman show is class :) ). hadnt a clue his and depps kid was in this. that said i have a soft spot for "weird" films and if it catches me in the right frame of mind i can see myself going to this.

I don't think a 'proper' trailer could save that. It looks awful in every way.

With Ben Affleck in the title role, one would presume? :P:D

Rewatched Tusk today, its not terrible, Id describe it as a fine popcorn flick.
Some great scenes in it - when hes going into Canada, when he first gets to the house but it really drags in places - mostly
    depps
    scenes.

Didn't Kevin Smith say that he was retiring from making features a while back?

I recently watched his first six films over two days with a friend. I'd enjoyed most of them the first time I saw them and Clerks still has a special place in my heart but after revisiting them in such a short space of time, I came to the conclusion that there isn't a director alive or dead that built a career of such stature on such shoddy work.

I think he was blessed that the internet and fanboy culture were really taking off when he came to prominence, as this really seemed to propel him to a height that he's still living off today.

That's a whole lot of bad Canadian accents there!

But at least it's a better trailer.

I'm still not watching though. Looks rough as hell.

This was awful. Terrible, terrible film. The dialogue and acting are moronically bad. Near the end, Ralph Garman does some unfunny impressions of Pacino, Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Adam West. Kevin Smith has lost it. My excitement for the MallBrats TV series is very low.
