So currently driving Santa Fe at weekends and BMW e92 320D coupe for work.
Currently doing 800km weekly in the car but this will change in the next few weeks to 200km a week so getting back into petrol territory.
I've my heart set on keeping the jeep and selling the car and getting a 335i (07).
However when you add insurance and tax for both it's coming into new car territory also.
I've been looking at the new mondeo and mazda 6 estate and there's some great deals on pcp (i know all the details of pcp so no need to lecture on that :) I'd be changing the car every 3 years if I went the pcp route.

Question: which would you go for? I'm worried the novelty of a new car will wear off (had one before and it only lasted about a week) whereas the beemer still gets me every day.
Would welcome opinions from both Mondeo/Mazda and of course 335i owners.
Have driven a 335i before and loved the power in it.

Any particular reason you want to run a Santa Fe and an e92?

I run a 335i every day, I've done over 20k kms so far this year. My average is 28mpg (according to nerdy records) across the year which includes lots of commuting into the city. It's an incredibly special car and still puts a massive smile on my face every day I drive it, from the exhaust tone upon starting through to the effortless acceleration in any situation. These are ridiculous value for money. The e92 still has massive kerbside appeal too, one of the best looking cars on the road.

If you're considering a new car, have you considered the BMW 330e new? Fair bit of info around on the boards but they're €41k new @ 3.9% APR, great power, economy & will have great residuals. Massive waiting list.

2 kids and a wife who doesn't know how to pack small :)
Yeah the 335i are amazing value for money..I know no other car bar a M3 or high powered car will bring a smile to my face which is why I'm hesitant about going the new route.

One big estate car would make sense. Not necessarily new, but madness having two cars and only using one at a time.

Get a 335. Awesome car. Although I believe they can have a few expensive problems.

The obvious answer is to get a 335i estate!

extremely rare though..had my hands on one 2 years ago but left another buyer take it..think he exported it after that as it was very hard to get a buyer here for it..

There is a 2010 one for sale on carzone at the minute

I still can't get over a 2010 model without idrive especially something like the 335i.
Another lad showed me his 2006 335i which has idrive..

iDrive was a rare and expensive option on the E9X models. The early iDrive systems were quite iffy too. The one in my old E90 would reboot itself occasionally at random.

The idrive can be retrofitted anyhow, and of course if you import you'll have much more choice.

But that 2010 model also has cloth seats, which with kids might not be the best idea.

More E92 320d's came with iDrive than 335i's. Unbelievable, I know but it was either due to making the 320d more appealing or due to reducing the cost of the 335i or both.

My old 335i is up for sale actually.
Although I believe they can have a few expensive problems.

    Yes......yes they do :pac:

nice remap to 450hp....yeah leather is a must although they could be alacanta seats?

That 450 is a load of crap. I installed JB4 on it and the highest map gives about 400bhp.

The seats are leather in it.
