Possible battery upgrade for any 24 kWh Leaf

    Did anybody see this link?

Basically somebody recently posted to facebook claiming that they got a 30 kWh battery installed as a warranty replacement for a degraded battery on a mk1 Leaf. It would be difficult to manipulate the range display to that extent so it may be legit. However, if the person was really determined they could have towed/driven downhill for a long distance immediately before posting the photo I guess. It could also be that the car had not adapted to the new pack yet although I have never seen anything close to 240km on my 24 kWh car.

To me it looks like the initial readout immediately after the battery replacement. It will interesting to hear what the final answer is.

I've seen numbers above 200km (not a full battery) on my mk1 Leaf under certain driving and weather conditions.

It's possible, a good way of showing good will towards early adopters.

I am sure Nissan are able to adjust the BMS and Charger parameters. Would be mad if not.
