Can someone give me some advice. iv'e been thinking of buying an apartment in Belgrove park in clontarf or redcourt oaks. Does anyone know someone who lives in both or either complexes. What i really want to know is do they get noise from their neighbours are the walls thin can they hear toilets washing machines etc.

I don't live in that area and neither is my apartment there, however I do own a unit in the CC which is considered to have pretty good sound insulation. There is very little you can do about toilets specifically as the pipework travels through the building. Also washing machines should fall under the house rules of no noise after X but if the apartments are on a night electricity tariff you can expect to see that roundly ignored.

Personally for that money I'd come further towards Howth/Malahide and buy a detached house where you're looking is practically Raheny anyway.

Edit: Okay maybe only semi detached.

OP, the title of your thread is very vague. You may get a better response rate, if you edit the title so that it mentions the two apartment developments specifically, or Clontarf.
