Creaking Bicycle

    So recently my bike has started creaking. The noise seems to be coming from the crankset or pedals. It usually happens when I apply a bit of extra pressure when pedaling. I've tried oiling the chain and sprockets, I've applied WD40 to the pedals and any other moving part, but none of it has helped at all.

    Does anyone know what's causing this and how I might fix it?

    Oh, and it's a hybrid bike if that's of any use! Thanks.
