Cooker extractor fan.

    A little advice please..

I will be buying a new over cooker extractor fan soon but don't know which one to buy.
The one I have now is really not very good at removing steam. My kitchen gets very steamed up when cooking is going on. It is ducted directly outside with a very slight curve in the flexible tubing ( its only got a run of about two feet from top of fan to outside).
The extractor I have now is attached to a fitted door. I will be getting rid of the door so new fan will stand alone .

What is an efficient fan to buy ( that doesn't cost the earth) and are there any special fitting instructions that make it work to the max.

    Thanks for any advice/help.
