Live abroad, but come home and the family has been using the same BT voyager router for the past 10 years or so... smartphones have difficulty connecting etc..

    1. Can we just go and buy another more up to date router which should just work?

    2. Do we have to get a specifically set up eircom router? (if so, do we hand this one in for exchange or how does it work?)

    thanks

If your line is capable of more than 5Mb I certainly would. Eir will charge 50e or a contract renewal for their d1000 which comes preconfigured or you can buy your own for circa 30e and spwnd 3 mins setting it up.

    Hi Dohnjoe,

Thanks for getting in touch :)

Our technical support team would be more than happy to arrange a replacement modem for you.
You can purchase it for €59.99 inc VAT or if you wish to re contract there would be no fee associated.
