Peugeot steel (Columbus SLX) 54cm frameset.

    I have a new old stock Peugeot Columbus SLX frameset for sale.

    Bought as new and unused from Steel Vintage in Berlin a couple of years ago. It has the original price sticker still attached along with a Peugeot factory sticker with barcode and classification.

    There is an area of cable rub on one side of the headtube. One rub on the top tube and two paint chips on the chainstays.

    I built it up and used it for 552km in the dry. The condition of the barcode sticker on the bottom bracket attests to this.

    It is one of those bikes that encourages you to go faster. It's responsive and lively but its not in any way harsh or unforgiving.

    The frameset has a Stronglight headset fitted. A correct fitting alloy seatpost will be included in the sale. I can also offer a choice of Nitto alloy quill stem or a Deda quill stem adaptor. I can also offer bars to match either setup for a negotiable price.

    Photos attached. I'm in Kildare, near the M7 & M9 motorways. I work in Dublin city centre a few days a week. Inspection of the frameset is no problem at all but I'd prefer an offer before inspection on the basis that I've given an honest description and you'll find that the frameset matches that description.

    €300 euro for a frameset that'll provide experiences that'll remind you what cycling is all about.

    Do 'modern' groupsets work OK on these vintage frames? Is the rear fork wide enough for 10/11 speed hubs? Thanks
