I cancelled a payment from my online current account-payees-but payment was still taken. How did this happen and how can I get this money returned to my account?

    Good Morning parkeral,

Thanks for contacting us here on Boards.ie,

Sorry to hear this has happened but if you have not cancelled the direct debit with your bank also payment may still be presented. To cancel the Direct Direct please log on to your 365 Online account and click on the + symbol beside where the payment was taken, from the pop up menu please select 'Cancel' and enter your details on the next page and your direct debit will no longer leave your account.

To get a refund on this, please click on Manage Accounts> Direct Debit Services and under the heading More Direct Debit Services available from Bank Of Ireland, you will see 'SEPA Direct Debit Refund Form'

Fill out the details here (you can take note of the UMR and Mandate Reference Numbers when you cancel the direct debit) and return this form to us for a refund.

I hope this fully answers your query and please let us know if there is anything else we can help with.

    Evie
