Bail. Would you need to have appeared in court to appear on bail?

    If someone is on bail with conditions, does that mean that they've been charged and appeared in court until a hearing? Or can they not be charged and just released from Garda custody?

    "Bail with conditions" sounds more like court bail to me. Station bail is usually just the standard amount put up, and a date to appear in court.

    Don't know. I don't know anything about the English legal system.

    But here, bail conditions are usually imposed by the court.

    I've never heard of station bail. Can the station impose bail conditions? Would you have to have been charged?

    It's given after a charge sheet is produced.
