Apologies if this has been covered but i did a search and couldnt find anything recent or quite relevant. I am looking at an eaves detail and using a fullfill cavity insulation in the wall and the pitched roof insulation is coming down to meet the wall insulation. In the Acceptable Construction Details for Part L they dont mention a cavity closer at the top of the wall. With the fullfill wall insulation do i not need at cavity closer as there is not a cavity as such to close or is it still required?

    a couple of points

    firstly the acceptable details
are indicative. They focus on thermal performance and air tightness. Other issues are not considered fully. The guidance must be implement with due regard to all other requirements imposed by the building regulations

These 'other requirements' include structural stability.

secondly, its only your certifier that can answer your question. Its dependent on your construction make up.
