    Hi,
We are looking to change the account holder's name as this person is deceased. The account holder was my wife's grandmother. We are living at this property and would like to continue with electric Ireland but would like to have the bill changed into our names. As you will not speak to anyone but the account holder how can we do this?
    Thanks

    Hi bartbanis,

Thanks for your message, we're sorry to read of your loss.

If you are currently living at a property and would like to register the property in your name online here, or over the phone with a member of our Sales team (1850 305 090). Alternatively, if you can providing us with the following details by private message we could also look into registering the property into your name.
    • Your full name
    • Your Electric Ireland account number (if you ever had one in your name)
    • The address and MPRN of the property that you wish to register
    • Your contact number and date of birth
    • Confirmation that you wish to be the account holder (a sentence stating this is sufficient)
    • A reading taken from the property
We can then close your wife's grandmother's account, and register a new account in your own name.

Should you have any questions please let us know.

    Thanks,
    Brige
