Funlavin 5k & 10k

This is the fifth year of this wonderful community event, held in the scenic town of Dunlavin, West Wicklow. Proceeds will go to St. Vincent de Paul (local) and other local charities…tbc

We will also have tea/coffee and a fine spread, served with local charm in the Dunlavin Inn after the races. Please come along and bring a friend!!

Registration online or on the day from 8:30am at the Dunlavin Inn (rates increase by €5 for all entries on the day) and family entry for the 5k walk is open to families with 2 adults and up to 4 kids.

There will be a bag drop, ample parking, water stations and a cool medal for all participants. We’ll also have Dave Brady (550+ marathons) on hand to start the events for us. Register early to avoid disappointment! https://www.facebook.com/Funlavin-1638786269669026/

Wild Garlic

Did the 5k last year. Is the 10k as flat as the 5k?

No Wild Garlic it is not as flat as the 5k. You continue on the road where the 5k turns and there are hills...up and down. Nice quiet route....with hills

Do you have a Garmin link for the 5k or is it an out and back route on the first 2.5k of the 10k route, which looks pancake flat

Hi EMPM, the 10k start is about 800m out of the town, but the 5k starts in the town, with a downhill start and then on out the same route as the 10k turning and finishing in the same place as the 10k. I have a link to the 5k that was run in 2014 but that started even further into the town. It is a fast 5k route Hope you can join us.
