OK it's a lot to explain and I hope I can explain it thoroughly. I had split up from the father of my children for a number of years due to financial arguments and a selfish/don't want to provide for family issue, which in time he matured and things slowly got better,I was also feeling the pressure of parenting alone and dealing with private renting, there was a landlord went bankrupt, then the next house sold...I had to move with my kids 3 times in 18 months and when most heard just me and my kids suddenly the house wasn't suitable, then the rents went through the roof so I made a decision to move further for reasonable rent, and myself and father of kids put a push on ironing out issues and I took the risk to get back together,I signed off my opfp, I've been working the last 2 years at the weekends doing small hours it helped pay the rent as I paid without supplements, their dad works full-time, but the place I work in is closing down very soon,so the welfare told me we'd be better off claiming fis instead of me doing jsb on part time work, a long wait due to getting forms as we were both moving address from two different houses, that's sorted now but I had ongoing hospital visits and my last recent check up I was informed that I'm pregnant. I am wondering if I'm entitled to maternity benefit but I earn only 51 euro per week so didn't have to pay prsi,I asked for my prsi contributions to be sent and they were, but 2015 was not listed,2015 should be the same as 2014 as I always worked the same hours,is this the norm that the previous year is blank? I also qualified for the back to work family dividend as I signed off the welfare payment and was working part time, that's 59.60 per week, the fis is 117, when I lose my job soon the btwfd is gone so it'll just be the 117, himself is giving money towards the rent but I still have to put the CB per month towards it,so the 117 has to get groceries, diesel (his car is absolutely essential for me to get my child to school and doctor and hospital etc,I'm rural now) and electricity and refuse etc so to get baby stuff even though it'll be very very very basic essentials I'll be getting. Can anyone help? I'm totally lost with this contributions scenario

In order for you to get MB the most straightforward way is that you be actually employed and a PRSI contribution being paid for you in the 25 week of your pregnancy and that in the year preceding your due date ( well 2 weeks before your due date) that 39 PRSI contributions have been made for you
There are other ways to quailify but that is the most straightforward

Thanks,I seen that but when I requested my contributions record, 2015 is blank,it has lines through that section,I requested it in 2016 so I don't understand why it's blank, things were the same for me in 2015 as in 2014, that's what's so confusing for me,I will be working on that week, and made redundant soon after,it's a contract cleaning company I work for so they may be able to place me somewhere else,I would actually probably be able to keep my job if I could get maternity as the company took over the contract without knowledge the place was closing,it puts them in a predicament too and they also don't want to pay redundancy for this reason so they would be given a chance to find another job for me if I took maternity leave

Your record for 2015 wouldn't be available to you yet
It often wouldn't show up till much later in the year
It's safe to say that if you were doing the same thing last year as 2014 then your employer continued paying a stamp for you in 2015 and you should be good for MB
    When are you due?
Get a M B form now and ask your employer to fill in their part of it
The answer to the question when will you finish work? Is the date of your redundancy
I can see you've a lot on your mind so you should really ring MB on Tuesday on 1890690690 they are very helpful and will answer all your questions

Thank you very much, Im after finding my p60 for 2015 since last post, and I have nearly double the prsi weeks so I'm feeling more hopeful, it's more of a relief if I can have a job to go back to at the end of the year! The hospital dated it as 30th of August, work is closing the 5th of June so I think I need to get a move on! Thank you for the number,I have no worries in speaking with them I just don't want to get my hopes up beforehand, over the last year I have found all the department extremely helpful.
