Home care tax credit

    Hi
    I have a question about home care tax credit .my husband at 2014 was on casual work half year so he got the money also from jobseekers allowance.I'm not working we have a child 10 years old now .So can we apply for this or not ?

    If your circumstances enable you to claim it, then claim it for any years applicable. It's a tax credit so it reduces the amount of paye you pay in a year. In order for it to be of benefit to you, PAYE tax will need to have been paid in the claim year.

    I got an answer I guess "unfortunately we cannot process your request.please contact the anythime helpdesk for further assistance in respect of the year that you have selected..."
    Can you tell me what that mean ?

    It means that you will need to call them or email them
