Tuesday night Wednesday morning in the Bank

It's due on tuesday so that would make it a late payment?

As the entire banking system of Europe has a day off on Monday, the payment won't go through Monday night Tuesday morning ( no SEPA payments will) it will be Tuesday /Wednesday morning.
It's not SW "fault". Before SEPA became "compulsory" what would happen on a public holiday weekend is they would put it through tonight so you would have it tomorrow (Saturday ) for the weekend.
It's not even your banks fault. It's just the way it is now.

OK so some people get it on time and others don't depending on who you bank with...that's harsh.

    But it's nobody's fault.
The SEPA "glitch" is a European ruling.
If you were a PO person you'd be getting as normal on Tuesday.
It's just a disadvantage of opting for an electronic payment. Every body has the option to revert to the PO.

As do bank of Ireland customers.
