    Can anyone help me I have a smart TV and have got WiFi but I want to know is there a way I can get channels with just WiFi thanks

    Usually the operating system on smart TVs is quite restrictive and you can only install apps designed for that TV.
    There are boxes you can get that run off wifi alright.

    You can buy different boxes such as Apple TV or get USBs that fit into the TV if its so enabled.
    It would help the discussion if you gave more detail on both the TV and what sort of stuff you want to watch and whether you want to pay for stuff such as netflixs etc etc
    also depending on what one u have, perhaps chromecast.
    Its really cool if you have a smart fridge:D

    Short version No (mostly)

    Long version , if you are in the ROI then all the UK channels will be blocked.
    To get the Irish channels you'd need the TV to support web browsing or apps like RTE player or some such.

    Most TV's have youtube and such



    Post the make and model of the TV.
