Inspection service. Nobody mentioned a thing to me

I brought mine when it was way over.

More of an inspection rather than an inspection service.

    I'll ask Nissan Barlow tomorrow

    Well did my inspection

2 stars on fast charger , 5 on other two categories

Yet the car is charged every night at home !!!

    I think it maybe a function of 6k in 4 weeks !!!

Oh well , I have to use the damn thing It's our main car.

Be a pity to kill all those savings buying new cells in three years !!!!!!!

What are these stars you talk about?

What does 2 stars mean? That you have used too many FCP's? Surely the car is designed to be used and the number of charges is what it is. Why would that be 2 stars?

Its like an ICE service saying you used too much diesel!

I think people should read the instruction manual that came with the leaf.

And check out the battery section where it refers to batteries do's and dont's.

Not sure if the MY16 is different.

I havent read every page but I read the charging section and it just gave general info about how to charge and what % to use if storing the car for a while and some basics about battery temp etc. It said multiple charges per day were OK but nothing else much to worry about.

Is there something specific you are referring to or is it buried somewhere else in the manual that I havent got to?

The Nissan garage system awards up to 5 stars in three battery categories

The first one is the percentage of fast charges presumably as against total charges

No actual quantative data is provided so it's difficult to qualify what 2 stars means over the max 5 stars. Nor how the results transfer into battery degradation , if any

I'm quiet sure the 2015 manual said not to charge multiple times daily but I'll have to go back and check, the 30 Kwh is a different chemistry altogether anyway.

All I'm saying is that Nissan will use all the logs in regard to charging which could effect any warranty claims.

Mine is 2015 and the manual says, "Quick charging is possible (even several times a day) if the battery temperature is not near the red zone".

I think what BoatMad's 2 stars are for is probably the % of QC's he has had relative to the total.

I'd say kcross is correct. I just bought a 131 from the UK and the report had 5 stars on all categories. The car has been standard charged over a thousand times, and rapid charged once, according to the print out.

There was no numbers on the form , so I think I will pull up my leafspypro and see the numbers

Yesterday was two slow charges and three fcps for example on my journey ( Gorey( overnight ) , Kilkenny( fast ), naas, ( fast ) , tallaght( no charge) , carrickmines ( scp) , swords ( no charge ) , dunlaoghaire ( fast ) , Gorey
