Employment Contract

    Apologies if this is the incorrect format but need advice on work contract.
    I was given a 12 month fixed term contract until Dec 2015 and in September was asked if I would like to renew it. I agreed to this but despite asking on multiple occasions, I did not receive an updated signed contract.
    I have now been offered a permanent position and HR have told me that my terms and conditions will not change.
    Do I have any recourse here or negotiation as I have not had a signed contract for 5 months?
