    Hi,

Clearing up a house a relation of mine was renovating,

Have approx 700 blue Bangor slates different shapes and sizes have been left a while and some overgrown on them but in perfect condition otherwise (few small chips on some of them)

Also some scaffolding approx 175 boards.
    About 60-70 legers
    50 standard 8ft
    70 transoms
    30 jacks
    All in great condition
I'm just curious as to how much I could expect for these items if I were to sell them?

    Thanks :)

I'm not a dealer but a renovator and have a love/hate thing going for natural slates.... and their owners! I have bought blue and purple bangers and welsh greys over the past few years. I am based in North Mayo and have 4 buildings that needed re-slating.

    For a good 24 x 12 blue banger I have paid from 75 - 1.50 depending on the number available and access to them. I have paid 2.50 for 100 36 x 24's. I recently bought 300 welsh grey's, 24 x 12's and paid 50c each for them.

I have seen idiot prices from people expecting 5 euro per slate, commonly 3 euro's. There is a fella near me who refused 1.50 a slate 3 years ago, he has advertised them on DD for 3.50.... he still has them stacked at the side of his house.

It is also dependent on location and whether you want a quick sale.

As far a scaffold boards go I bought 70 off a chappie last year in North Roscommon and paid 4 euro each. They were second hand and in good condition. He advertised them for 7 euro each.

Can't help with the scaffolding... never bought any.

    Hope this helps.

    TT
