    Hi
I'm planning to cycle to trim from (south) Dublin as a spin.

Google maps shows a route r112 and r154 or r137 and r154 or the whole way on r154

Any advice on which route is quieter/more scenic. R112 r137 or r154

    Many thanks

I'd ride from town to Dunshaughlin a fair bit, and the nicest route would be up through the Phoenix park, in to Castleknock, then across to Clonne - Dunboyne. From there either head out the Summerhill road (through Summerhill) which will bring you straight in to Trim, or from Dunboyne go out along the bypass, then left and head out there through Batterstown.
Alternatively, instead of the park go along the bottom road around Islandbridge (Chapelizod Road), into Chapelizod, up Knockmaroon hill, but then take left at the top to bring you down through Strawberry beds, which brings you in to Lucan, then up Laraghon into Clonee/Dunboyne

I go through Trim quite a bit in club spins etc. The two roads (summerhill and batterstown) can be both quite busy and boring. I would go from Lucan. Leixlip. Maynooth. Kilcock. Backroad to coole o.to summerhill and then Trim

Thanks Luxman, was there a piece missing there - backroad to coole.o ?
Did you mean back road to Doolistown and then over to Trim

Maybe I got the name wrong. Head out of kilcock towards Enfield. The look for a small turn to the right up a narrow road about 1k You should cross the railway line shortly after. At the Next T junction turn right and you will come out in the middle of summerhill. Turn left for trim. From kilcock to summerhill is about 9k

    That's this stretch here? https://goo.gl/maps/RvvznGN1QvA2

I'm not a fan of the Summerhill - Trim road, so recently I've started going on straight at that crossroads and taking the right turn in Rathmoylon.

Nice route here. Follows part of the Dying Light audax route with quiet, scenic roads...
