HKC GSM-Q V GSM-SC

On an alarm event can a GSM-SC send a text message and an App message at the same time, to cover smart and non-smart phones at the same time ?

I understand if you want to use the HKC App you have to use the global sim provided and pay a fee of €60 per year.
If you decide you do not like the App and wish to use Text messages only, can you take out the global sim, and install your own prepay sim ?

Yes it will send a push and text but they don't come directly from the GSM unit, they come from hkc's servers.

The GSM SC will only work with their world sims. You'll need the GSM Q then you can put in your own sim but you won't get the app service.

Would the Text message come through the HKC server as well ?

If using their app service then yes. If you're using a GSM-Q then no.

Looking through previous threads I see there were problems with the securecomm system going down. Have these issues been resolved and is it more reliable ?

    No problems whatsoever.
