what type of work does a dvo officer do?

    I was just wondering what type of work would a dvo officer do on a daily basis,i persume inspections and papper work.I see they are now some vancancies nationwide would it be a tough job to do in your opion?

    Are you sure?i thought they named out all different levels that meet the criteria and they didnt say anything about been a vet i think

    Technical Agricultural Officer





    Candidates must, on or before the 5th May 2016
    • Have obtained in the Leaving Certificate Examination a minimum
    of grade D (Pass level) in 5 subjects to include Mathematics and
    English

    and
    • Hold an advanced certificate in Agriculture or Horticulture at
    level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications

    or
    • Hold a qualification in Agriculture or Horticulture at level 7 or
    higher on the National Framework of Qualifications

    Paperwork, lots and lots of paperwork I reckon.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    Or maybe something that they couldn't possibly succeed at in real life?

    Basic qualifications look like they demand top drawer material...


    Edit. To explain...

    If someone comes into my place of business inspecting, say, bird boxes.

    I expect them to know more than me about 1. birds and 2.boxes.

    Not to be the lowest common denominator of a box-ticker...expect/demand more.
