    Hi guys,

Finally getting a load of my teeth sorted after years of neglect (I know! But at least it's getting done!) I'm really happy with my dentist so no issues, however I'm looking at needing 1 or possibly 2 implants. I can't really afford the clinics pricing and in fairness to them they did say I could look elsewhere. I don't want to go down the dental tourism route so was wondering if the dental hospital do implants? I got my wisdom teeth out there years ago and it was way way cheaper than what my dentist at the time was quoting- granted I had to wait for ages for an appointment but where the teeth are wont affect my visual appearance and tbh I'm used to not chewing where they are anyway so A wait wouldn't bother me.

    Thanks for any info. :)

I'm not sure about your wisdom teeth but implants in the Dublin dental hospital are a disaster.
You will wait forever on their waiting list.
If you get past that stage, you will get the run around for countless appointments to work out a treatment plan...
Then you will have the treatment done by students and/or postgrads.
And your reward for all this is to pay more than what I would generally charge!!!!

Good to know! I found the wisdom teeth extraction process really grand, and like I said it was far far cheaper than what my dentist at the time was charging.

Implants in the dental hospital are 1200-1800 euro depending. It will also take 5 times longer than in private practice, so factor in your time. If you have the time and dont mind paying 70% of the private fees for a trainee to do the work, then fire ahead.

    Are the trainees properly supervised?

    Can they spell? :D

"You will just feel a little scratch."

"Scratch? More like a sting - from a bee you can't even see."

"OK. Have you ever been stabbed?"

    "Now, I'm relaxed. Stab away."
